From July 4 to 7, 2024, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance (7th Edition) were held in Shanghai. As the largest edition to date, the event set records in exhibition scale, number of participating enterprises, featured exhibits, and debut products. Within the 52,000-square-meter Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center, over 500 companies gathered to showcase the latest innovations in "AI+" applications.

In the humanoid robot zone, a highlighted section of this year's conference, HighTorque introduced its newly designed bipedal robot Pi and the miniature humanoid robot Hi, drawing significant attention and demonstrating cutting-edge capabilities.

The newly exhibited bipedal robot Pi and miniature humanoid robot Hi feature upgraded main controllers and motor drivers, along with optimized internal wiring. These improvements result in a cleaner exterior design and smoother motion performance.

This year, HighTorque has continued to deliver outstanding performances at industry and international conferences. In April, at the Beijing Robotics Exhibition, and in May, at ICRA 2024 — a top international conference — the bipedal robot Pi walked continuously across the venue without a single failure, demonstrating exceptional performance.

At this year’s WAIC, Pi once again completed a full three days of non-stop, fault-free walking demonstrations, consistently attracting high levels of attention. The bipedal robot Pi remains under active development and continues to receive updates.

As a key direction of new-quality productive forces, bipedal and humanoid robots have become a focus of industry development. High Torque's vision is to improve developers' efficiency and enable more efficient motion control development. High Torque is committed to meeting developers' needs, and truly realizing that every developer can have a stable, reliable, and high-performance development platform for bipedal and humanoid robots.
After more than a year of iterations, robots Pi and Hi are getting closer to mass-production versions and will be launched soon. They will be available for sale simultaneously at home and abroad. Stay tuned!
